The Grand Opening of MirrorMazeIraq®
The city of Sulaymaniyah has witnessed the opening of its newest attraction site. That’s the first mirror maze in the country!
On February 16th, 2019, a group of invited guests attended and impatiently waited for the opening of the first mirror maze in Iraq. People from different backgrounds attended the opening event. The attendees included the governor of the city, a number of famous artists, university presidents, professors, and many foreigners, to name few. Excitement and curiosity were felt everywhere.
The attendees gave a round of applause to Mr. Hersh Latif, manager of MirrorMazeIraq® as he started the ceremony. He welcomed everybody, plus congratulating everyone for the success and the opening of MirrorMazeIraq®.
Later, Dr. Hemin Latif, the president and founder of MirrorMazeIraq® took the podium to deliver the opening speech both in Kurdish and English. He highlighted the reasons behind this specific project and the journey they had to accomplish this. He stressed on the fact that making investments in innovations is the best approach to doing business. Also, sharing his approach to business and investments by asking what business is better than the business of bringing joy to people’s lives?
Finally, the Sulaymaniyah governor, Dr. Haval Abu-bakir, went to the podium and gave his speech. Dr. Abu-bakir emphasized on many aspects and the importance of this project. “What is left from civilizations, is what they have built and left for us,” said Dr. Abu-bakir. He considered this project as an example of architecture and creativity, which would stay for many years to come.
He also talked about how this project is serving the city of Sulaymaniyah as being the city of culture. He also said, “Modern and creative projects like these are expected to start from Sulaymaniyah.” Dr. Abu-bakir continued, “this is what our city is known for, every new thing in the region starts from here.”
As Dr. Abu-bakir cut the red tape and officially opened the maze, he praised the people who worked on it. Also, congratulated and welcomed the attendees into the labyrinth.
With the opening, everyone flooded into the door of the maze and wanted to try it out for the first time. This was the first time for most of the attendees to see a mirror maze in reality.
Laughter and joy were everywhere as groups were getting into the maze and groups getting out from the other door. It did not matter what age they were or what was their profession; everyone passionately tried the mirror maze. Moreover, they all expressed their amazingness and gratitude to the people who worked on the project.
MirrorMazeIraq® is one of a kind of project, and it is the first mirror maze in Iraq and Kurdistan. It is expected to become a unique attraction site for the visitors to the city. It has already proven that looking at the opening day and the number of attendees and their reaction to the project.
