Mirror Maze Appearances in Films

A mirror maze is a house, or to be more accurate a room made of mirrors. The mirrors are reflecting images towards each other. This reflection makes it feels like an infinite room for the human eye. This reality turns mirror mazes into a mixture of challenge and fun for people and hence a family attraction. Mirror mazes made famous through a lot of means, one of them is through the film industry.
Whether we are looking at historical movies, such as silent movies or modern ones, mirror mazes will make appearances. We will, for sure, see a scene or two with our heroes and villains in the mirror mazes. Usually, the characters make a chase-scene or a calm-thinking and observing scene inside the mirror maze.

The oldest movie, and maybe the first movie that used a mirror maze was Charlie Chaplin's 1928 movie “The Circus”. In this episode cops chase Mr. Chaplin. Therefore, he makes his way into the mirror maze, loses them there, and gets away. Here the audience is introduced to mirror mazes for the first time on screen. Which definitely was an exciting and an alien experience for most people.

Another exciting scene but a newer one is “Enter the Dragon” in 1973, starring Bruce Lee. This is a movie that our parents in the 80s and 70s probably watched and were amazed by it. One thing that comes to mind while talking about this movie is the ending scene in the mirror maze. This ending is considered to be one of the most famous endings in film history.

In the movie, the mirrors are used against the hero. Therefore, Lee learns it is best to smash the glass obstacles to solve his problem and defeat the villain. The last movie that we should mention here is a modern one, which is, of course, “John Wick: Chapter 2” in 2017. In this thriller/action movie John Wick (Keanu Reeves) engages in a chase, gunfight, and climactic knife fight. This takes place in a multi-floor modern art museum exhibit called "Reflections of the Soul" made of halls, rooms, and stairways. They are all lined with mirrors where lights and video screens reflected in them.

The mirror maze that is made in the shape of a castle is a fictional one. On the other hand, there are pretty similar big ones in real life. Moreover, they are all perfect for an unforgettable adventure with friends and families. It is where you lose yourself in the fun while trying to find yourself in the mirrors.
